Ugadi Youth Segment
Dear Telugu youth friends and families:
We are shaping up the youth cultural segments for the March 24, 2007 Ugadi Cultural Programs of Telugu Association of Southern California (TASC). Our youth programs will include modern film dances, fashion show, film songs (vocal or instrumental) mimicry, mono-action with fancy dresses, & skit segments. Thus, we hope to make the show very attractive to our contemporary Telugu American Youths, and young at heart Telugus.
In this context, we are inviting all talented Telugus in middle schools, high schools, colleges, and Universities, or those youth staying home or working to let us know your first choice items in which you wish to participate. You can either choose to perform with your own group of 2 or more youths, including your sisters/brothers/friends etc., or want to be part of the other groups for the items mentioned above. Please provide us with the names of the songs & the movie, year of its release, etc. to which you will be performing.
Here is a brief relevant summary about us: the TASC Youth Culture Chair, Sireesha, & Co-Chair, Kiran are university students in Southern California. We have choreographed, performed, organized, and participated in several youth programs not only in high schools, colleges, and universities, but also in previous TASC programs. We performed in ATA 2006 youth night, and gave a dance performance in the Telugu Film Music Director Mani Sharma musical night at ATA 2006. This dance was choreographed by our Co-Chair, Kiran. We also performed with Indian Idol (#2), Karunya, (a Telugu youth), on November 10, 2006 in the TASC organized Deepavali musical night.
We look forward to hear from you A.S.A.P, regarding your talents that you want to present in the upcoming TASC Ugadi cultural program in the youth segments. Together, we all can make this unique opportunity given to us by TASC, a grand success!!!
